David Finch

David Finch - Group CEO

I joined Cephas back in 1995 as a part time care assistant, during the last 20 years I have worked in many departments within the company, becoming Managing Director in 2004 my role is to manage the Company on a day to day basis and to look at strategic planning, company expansion and company finances. I enjoy my role and have a passion to ensure Cephas is a key player in the care market within East Anglia. I recnetly have taken up the role as Group CEO and whilst i continue to have a interest in the company i now have more of an strategic oversite

Gerard Dooley

Gerard Dooley - Director of Residential Care Services

My name is Gerard and I am the Director of Residential Services for Cephas Care Ltd. I joined the company in December 2021 as a Regional Manager and moved into the position of Director in March 2022. I oversee the 3 residential homes, totalling 89 operating beds across Norfolk and Suffolk. I have been in the care industry since 2010 where I joined as a Care Assistant before working my way up to Registered Manager within a large corporate care provider. I have managed 12 services in total and have successfully demonstrated improvement across every service I have overseen. In my downtime I live with my wife and we have 1 pet dog – Douglas. We are both season ticket holders at Norwich City Football Club which we attend every week

Rachel Robertson

Rachael Robertson - Director of Adult & Community Services

I started working in Residential Care with people who had physical and learning disabilities. Following this I became an NVQ assessor, supporting students to gain the knowledge and skills to work in a variety of different care settings.

I began assessing for Cephas Care and I observed the passion and support within their Residential Homes. As soon as a position became available at Cephas, I started work with them in 2008. Initially I worked as deputy manager with Cephas. More recently I have supported the deregistration of our 4 Residential Homes, which are now Supported Living, and setting up new supported living schemes across Suffolk. Having been the operations manager and then a associate Director I started my role as Director of Adult & Community Services in May 2019.

Alison Finch

Alison Finch – Non Executive Director

I joined Cephas on 7th April 2005, I was employed part time two afternoons a week to sort through the archiving. I then helped out on reception I enjoyed this and stayed there full time for about 2 years.

As the company grew I started to help in the HR department where I was eventually moved to full time. I took some time out in 2007 when I had my son, when I came back to work I started to assist with the process of payroll.

I have now been with Cephas Care nearly 17 years, having recently changed role from Director of Corporate Services to a Non-Executive Director as I have started my own business in the hospitality sector, I currently work one day per week supporting the corporate team.

Su Clear – Assistant Director of Adult & Community Services

I have over 20 years’ experience operating at a senior management level, with relevant management qualification in the Health and Social Care, HR, Business Administration and Customer service sector. I am a Customer Centric Individual who keeps customers' needs and demands as a priority.

I have a great passion for outstanding care and sound knowledge of CQC legislations to ensure safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led processes and systems are put in place to ensure high quality care for customers. My previous roles include Senior Care / Support Worker, Care Coordinator, Assessor, Service Manager, CQC Registered Manager and Operations Manager. I have worked across various care settings including Domiciliary Care, Residential Care, Supported Living and Care Homes. I started my role as an Assistant Director of Adult and Community Services in July 2021.

My professional background consists of excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and legislation and the implementation of these. Experience of managing Care Services, experience of developing quality and improvement programmes. Knowledge of developing policy and procedures. A passion for delivering great care, supporting the clients and their families. Ability to contribute to the development and management of company budgets.

Cathy May – Assistant Director of HR, Training & Recruitment

My career started in the “people industry over 30 years ago, working for public and private sectors, gaining experience and knowledge under some great Managers in the NHS, Police, manufacturing, recruitment, not for profit, and hospitality, and my own business combing hr and recruitment.

I am commercially driven combining a “hands on approach” with a strong skills base in all areas of hr, training and recruitment, my experience has recently led me to roles where I can utilise all my skills to improve processes, procedures, and systems by continuously improving them.

I have held many roles in HR working my way up from an HR administrator to my current role as Assistant Director of HR, Training & Recruitment at Cephas Care, where I am able to bring all my skills to the fore by enhancing and improving existing processes, and future proof strategies aligned to the company’s overall goals and targets. I am a member of the CIPD and currently working towards a degree level qualification in HR Consultancy. My aim is to continue my CPD and career in HR to the next level, focusing on talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, health and wellbeing and improving HR systems.

Sam Macey

Sam Macey – Head of Adult & Community Services

I started working in Residential care with people with learning disabilities straight from leaving school, which I did for about 8 years till I moved to Ipswich where I then started at Cephas care in 2002 as a senior support worker.

I have then over the years progressed through the levels within Cephas to my current position as Cluster Manager. I have also completed many training courses including NVQ level 2 and 3 and NVQ assessor award, Teamleader level 2 and Business and Admin Level 2 I have completed my level 5 QCF in Health & Social Care. I am also the registered Manager for the service.

Ashley Noakes

Ashley Noakes - Registered Homecare Manager

I have been working within the care and support industry since 2012 and at the age of 18 this was very scary, however throughout my time at Cephas Care I have built upon my knowledge and skills as a support worker. I have progressed with Cephas Care throughout my career and have been a Deputy Team Leader as well as a Team Leader, this job is something I am very passionate about and this shows on a day to day basis, I have achieved my Level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care and have recently completed my Level 5. As part of my job role I enjoy going out and visiting customers and ensuring they are leading a fulfilled life.

Jessica Mallett - Acting Home Care Delivery Manager

I joined Cephas in Novemeber 2021 as a field care supervsior having previously worked for Cephas, in Decmber 2021 i was asked to take up the role as an acting care delvery manager, a role i enjoy hugely getting to work with such a diverse group of people.

Rhiannon Read

Rhiannon Read - Learning Disability Care Delivery Manager

I Began working for Cephas in 2015 as a support worker. I had never done care before but found my passion whilst working for Cephas. In 2016, I became West Team Leader, covering assessments, risk assessments, and working with other healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible. In 2017, I became West Care Delivery Manager & I completed my QCF. In 2018, I am now a Homecare Delivery Manager covering our homecare services across Suffolk and working closely with the Registered Manager.
